“Thinking Outside the Box:
A Year Long Certificate Program in the Treatment of Eating Disorders”
The course centered on the conceptualization of eating disorders, trauma and addiction through a dynamic lense with a focus on object-relations and attachment theories. Treatment focused on the merging of medical, behavioral, cognitive and psychodynamic modalities.
Interanalytic Couples and Sex Therapy
One year certificate program by Walter E. Brackelmanns, M.D.
The program’s emphasis was to teach couples and sex therapy as a combined discipline. The model of therapy is based on Dr. Brackelmanns' extensive years of experience teaching couples to empathically connect with each other’s inner experience thereby creating a deeper bond of understanding.
Eating Disorder Center of California
My role included individual, group, couples and family therapy for those struggling with the challenges of disordered eating and body image.
Maple Counseling Center
My experience at the Maple Center taught me the fundamentals of psychodynamic theory and treatment as applied to individuals, couples and families. The diverse client population provided me with the opportunity to work with depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBT issues and personality disorders.
The two- year commitment gave me the opportunity to work closely with adolescents and deepened my knowledge of the current emotional and social struggles they encounter.
